"Until Christ is formed in you..." (Galatians 4:19)
What is Deeply Christian?
A four year Christian spiritual formation experience.
12-week session group learning experiences for Sunday classes, small groups, couples, college core groups, etc.
Four study experiences per year, each consisting of 12 chapters. Sixteen books in all.
A well-balanced, ministry-tested means for making disciples who make disciples (Mt. 28:16-20) who make disciples (2 Tim. 2:2) of Jesus.
The Deeply Christian Experience
All books are based on “the Trinitarian Compass” to norm our Christian lives to the one God who we know as God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
The studies cover Scripture studies, Church History studies, Doctrinal studies, and Practical Ministry studies.
Individual preparation precedes group processing. Questions are designed to instill theological thinking, faith development, and the formation of Christian character.
What are the Results?
The Christian faith is re-explained, the grace of God is re-experienced, and authentic Christian community is realized. This is in service of being the body of Christ, the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the household of God in a way that the world may know that Jesus is the Messiah.
Commitment to Growth
The Deeply Christian process has proven effective at raising up life-long learners/followers of Jesus Christ, but it requires a high level of disciplined commitment in the formation of holy habits that conform us to a cross-shaped life: word and prayer, fellowship and stewardship.
Participants must:
Set aside sufficient personal time to read, reflect, pray, and record their thoughts on the various questions each week.
Make group attendance and participation a priority.
Give themselves to a group learning process appropriate for the materials being studied.
