“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.”   (1 John 1:5)
White light may be refracted into its primary colors of red, green, and blue (RGB).  Light is a perfect God-given illustration of the Triune nature of God. We have one God who we experience as Father, Jesus the Messiah, and the Holy Spirit -- one "what" existing in three "whos."
To have a robust experience of the Triune God means living in the white light, the full union of the three colors!  Imbalanced experiences do not move to the Triune center, but stay in one or two color areas -- red/green, red/blue, or green/blue.  Some even stay in one color areas.  Since God has revealed Himself to be Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we should strive to live in the white light -- where all three colors shine together in harmony.
The church has been baptizing (Mt. 29:19-20) and blessing (2 Cor. 13:14) Triunely from the very beginning. The Trinitarian compass helps us to recognize where we are, and how we need to grow.
